The “Mooseum,” located under the grandstand, has been a 10-year mission for organizers who assembled a collection reflecting the fair’s history. Many of the exhibits were donated by Allen County families with deep ties to the fair, while others were discovered after countless hours of searching archives.

“It’s basically everything that’s going on in Lima in the ’30s, but also what’s going on around the nation,” said Hannah Bergstedt, Public Engagement and Learning Coordinator at the Lima Public Library. “I think we all know the Great Depression — that’s what the 1930s are known for. But there were other things going on. And actually, Lima did better than a lot of communities during that time because of all of our industry, so we’ll be talking about all of that.”

The National Association of Realtors (NAR) was originally founded as the National Association of Real Estate Exchanges in May 1908. The organization aimed to foster professionalism in the industry at a time when it was not uncommon for some individuals to undermine property sales.
