Ramp to U.S. 68/SR15/Lima Avenue closing for one day to repair guardrail

A 2013 Dodge Journey, driven by Patrick C. Henry, age 58, of Lima, was northbound on State Route 196. The Dodge went off the right side of the roadway, struck a guardrail and overturned. As a result of the crash, Mr. Henry sustained fatal injuries and was declared deceased on scene. He was transported from the scene by H & H Funeral Services to the Lucas County Coroner’s Office.

75-year-old Jay Notz of Wisconsin was heading east when his semi went off the left side of the road and drove into the median. The semi struck a guardrail, a concrete culvert, and a bridge pillar for the Lincoln Highway overpass. Notz was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The roadway was closed for crash clean-up and to inspect the bridge for any damage. 30 was reopened early Monday morning.

The engineer's office also starting its guardrail replacement program.
