The Mack family kicked off their journey to owning a home thanks to partnership with Habitat for Humanity, and the support of their church family at Union Chapel Missionary Church.  

“I really never volunteered before habitat and to tell you the truth it’s been very exciting,” says future homeowner Sarah Mack. “I got to meet new people, caring people.” 

The Mack family and volunteers will be working on the house over the next few months, with hopes of them moving in around Thanksgiving.  This is the 55th build overall for the Habitat for Humanity- Lima Area, but the first one in the village of Elida.  This is also their first partnership with the Allen County Land Bank who donated the land for the Mack’s home to be built on.
