LIMA, OH (WLIO) - After a successful fundraiser this fall, ABATE of Ohio is out buying presents for kids in need.
The Salvation Army’s “Toys for Tots” campaign us in full swing and they are asking people to remember them on the biggest shopping weekend of the year. This year the Salvation Army is looking to provide a brighter Christmas for approximately 1,500 children. At this time 667 families have signed up for holiday assistance but they expect that number to grow. Children receiving gifts are from birth to 12 years of age. Organizers say if everyone would make a donation their goal would be easily met.
The Lima Salvation Army wants to make sure everyone has a Merry Christmas this year, and is holding additional assistance sign-up days.
