CRIDERSVILLE, OH (WLIO) - A local ranch threw a day full of fall fun to raise money to continue their animal therapies.
ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - They get more done before other kids their age get up during the summer. We are talking about 4-H kids, and we asked some in the Horse Barn about getting to work at the Allen County Fair as the sun starts to rise. For the 2024 Allen County Horse Queen, Elayna Smith, that perspective starts bright and early in the morning in the barn with her horse Cherokee.
Therapists in Putnam County are making a difference in the lives of many, but they're not the kind of therapists you'd expect. At the Challenged Champions facility, horses provide therapy and hope to individuals facing various conditions. The non-profit organization uses horses and their environment to offer equine-based activities from reading to riding.
