The group is being led by Clermont County Representative John Becker. He says that DeWine violated the state and United States Constitution for the way that he handled Ohio's primary election. Just a day before the March 17th election was set to take place, DeWine ordered it delayed three months because of the number of confirmed cases across the state. The impeachment orders cite that DeWine's orders on closing businesses at the start of the outbreak and the mandatory mask order as reasons for him to be impeached.

The impeachment trial of President Donald Trump has opened in the U.S. Senate. All the senators swore to an Oath of Impartial Justice as jurors for only the 3rd Impeachment trial in United States history. Chief Justice John Roberts presided over the proceedings and all of the senators, including Sherrod Brown and Rob Portman, signed the oath book. We talked Portman in between Senate proceedings about what he expects from the impeachment trial.

President Trump has become the third president to be impeached by the House. Many people have questions as to what is going to happen next, and Professor Robert Alexander of Ohio Northern University has some answers. It is now up to the Senate to vote on if he will be removed or not. Trump still could have a spot on the 2020 ballots, even if he is removed from office. And impeachment doesn’t seem to be ruining his reputation with Republicans either.

The House's Ukraine investigation will largely center in the intelligence committee and the chairman says they're already reaching out witnesses and planning subpoenas. Democratic Congressman Adam Schiff from California says more hearings are possible and that the whistleblower wants to testify. Schiff pledges to proceeds "swiftly" but some House Republicans including 4th District Congressman Jim Jordan are blasting the whistleblower report as an intelligence community attempt to undercut President Trump.

With talk of impeachment, we spoke with a law professor about how the process might look. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced an impeachment inquiry into President Trump surrounding his conversation with the leader of Ukraine. Scott Gerber of Ohio Northern University says this is the first step in the process. The House investigates if the president committed treason, bribery, or high crimes and misdemeanors. If they find that, they'll draw up articles of impeachment and it'll move to the Senate to decide.

As calls for the House of Representatives to impeach President Donald Trump continue, Congressman Jim Jordan is ready to move on to bigger issues. Special counsel Robert Mueller's May press conference brought renewed calls for impeachment by House Democrats. Jordan said that any efforts to impeach Trump are "baseless" and said it is time that the Democrats move on to other political issues.
