Students from Elmwood participated in The Daily Mile, a program that encourages students to go out and run or walk a mile. Even 15 minutes of being active can make a big difference in a youth's life. A $10,000 donation was also made by INEOS to the school to help with their project of a track field area behind the school.

"So we started this initiative with INEOS to get them outside and active just to get out in nature, just getting out in the wind, the rain, the snow, whatever is not going to hurt them, that they can do this and be very resilient," said Heather Kohli, an event organizer. "We are hoping that they carry this on and we can do it in the other schools, Maplewood, middle school, high school, as well."

While many service clubs struggle through the COVID-19 pandemic, INEOS is trying to help them out. The Lima Noon Optimist Club were awarded a 7,000 dollar grant from INEOS. In March, the CEO of INEOS created the community fund. It's a way the nearly 200 INEOS locations can help provide for their surrounding communities. The Noon Optimist Club plans to use the money on Safety City programming and maintenance. Since their Home and Garden Show was canceled, they worried they wouldn't be able to provide for the kids programming in the future.
