The West Ohio Food Bank is preparing for its next community effort — a hygiene drive aimed at helping seniors 60 and older.
Firefighters were called out to a home in the 400 block of W. Kibby St. for reports smoke coming from the attic area. Â
June 25, 2024, Press Release from the City of Lima: The City’s contractor, Degen Excavating, will be closing the intersection of East Kibby Street and Calumet Avenue on Thursday June 27th to install a new waterline. The intersection will be re-opened by the end of the day on Friday June 28th. The motoring public is asked to use alternate routes during these dates so that work can proceed safely and efficiently.
According to the Lima Police Department, they responded to a report of a cyclist near Kibby Street and McPheron Avenue being robbed around 9:45 p.m. The victim, then, led police to a house near the intersection of South Pine Street and East Kibby Street where a suspect was found.
The Lima Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred Saturday morning.
One person was taken to the hospital Monday afternoon following a motorcycle accident.
