A variety of Putnam County Elementary Schools received a donation of books to promote reading during winter break. The Leipsic Community Center traveled to multiple schools on Tuesday and Wednesday, donating books for all reading levels.
Every year, students in the Senior business class at Leipsic High School are assigned to create, and establish an entire business idea from start to finish. This year, the class formed Tye Dye Supply Co. and tie dyed dozens of t-shirts. The students say they learned a lot through the sometimes stressful process, but it will benefit them in business endeavors going forward.
The Leipsic Community Center hosted a free drive-thru meal service this afternoon. Thursday afternoon, outside of the back of the Community Center, cars lined up to receive a free meal delivered to them. The meal includes mac and cheese, ham, green beans, cake, and strawberries. Thanks to donations and the West Ohio Food Bank, the Community Center can support up to 250 meals per afternoon and will host a food donation every Thursday for the remainder of April. Donations are important for additional meal giveaways past April, and you can help at home.
