The Leipsic Community Center traveled to multiple schools on Tuesday and Wednesday, donating books for all reading levels. The donation was done to help schools provide students materials during the school year.

At Ottawa Elementary School, the books will serve as an opportunity for students to get more points in their accelerated reading program.

"The Leipsic Community Center has spent the time to go through all of the books and label them with the corresponding accelerated reader points," said Audrey Beining, Ottawa Elementary School principal. "Our students need a certain amount of reader points that they need to get each quarter, so while they are home for the holidays, if they don't have all of their points, they can take their book, read it over the holidays, and take their tests."
