Lima welcomed its first student delegation from sister city Harima-Cho, Japan, since the pandemic for a week of cultural exchange and community activities. The students will spend the week touring local attractions and staying with host families before returning to Japan on Sunday.

U-Turn and Only Way Ministries is collecting school supplies and backpacks to help local students prepare for the new school year. The ministry will host a free giveaway with food and school supplies on Aug. 8 at Faurot Park while continuing to accept community donations.
