LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - Mental health is an important topic for people to know more about.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and the Mental Health and Recovery Board of Allen, Auglaize, and Hardin Counties is getting the message out that there is hope for people who are dealing with issues like depression, anxiety, or PTSD.

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced today that nearly three dozen local drug task forces in Ohio are receiving state support to aid in their work to disrupt the drug trade and promote substance use awareness, prevention, and recovery.

 Local business leaders gathered to learn how to make mental health awareness an integral part of their office culture.

The Tony Award-winning musical Dear Evan Hansen took the stage at the Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center on Sunday night. Before the curtain went up, the show’s sponsor hosted a VIP party that highlighted the talents of local students.

The group attended a conference where several speakers discussed various aspects of mental health and its effects on individuals.
