The oncologists at the Mercy Health St. Rita's Cancer Center can help patients with many kinds of cancer - from those with skin cancer to patients with small brain lesions. Located just across the street from the main hospital, those with the cancer center say that it's great to be able to help people in the community stay nearby while receiving treatment.

Mercy Health-St. Rita’s is helping women get educated about their own health and have a little wine too.   This is the hospitals 3rd Women’s Wellness and Wine event at the Hollander on Main Thursday night.   Around 140 women, heard from a  panel of experts in fields of sleep, mental health, family medicine, and fitness on the topic of winter blues.   Women tend to let their own health take a backseat to other people in their lives, so this event give them a chance to think about themselves first.

The Lima Police Department is investigating an early morning shooting on Main St. 

Officers were called to 701 S. Main St. at 2:16 am Saturday morning (1/12/19) after reports of shots fired in the parking lot of Marko's Sports and Spirits. One person was found injured. Markeice Johnson, 22, sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound, and was taken to Mercy Health St. Rita's for treatment. 

The LPD is asking anyone with information to call the Lima Police Department at 419-227-4444 or their detective line at 419-221-5285.
