Hardin County Sheriff Keith Everhart has released information that they believe they have found the body of a missing Hardin County man. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification executed a search warrant at 304 Hunsicker Street in McGuffey earlier Tuesday. Neighbors tell Your News Now that this house is where Bolen lived. A release from Sheriff Everhart states that they found a body that they believe to be Michael Bolen, who has been missing since March 29th. His son Dustin Ray Bolen was indicted for his father's murder and arrested on November 7, 2024, even without his father's body being found.

A Hardin County man facing charges for the presumed death of his father makes his first court appearance. 42-year-old Dustin Bolen was arraigned Thursday afternoon in Hardin County Common Pleas Court on the charges of murder, tampering with evidence, and gross abuse of a corpse for the presumed death of his father, Michael Bolen. He is also facing weapons charges, trafficking fentanyl, theft from a person in a protected class, and possessing criminal tools. The bond was set at one million dollars.

The Hardin County Sheriff's Office is continuing the search for a McGuffey man who has been missing since late March. A sheriff's office update yesterday says despite entering the 3rd month of 66-year-old Michael Bolen's disappearance, the investigative division is continuing to seek Bolen's whereabouts. Officials say the office is following every potential lead, conducting interviews and multiple searches. Hardin County has involved the services and resources of Ohio BCI&I, the Logan County Sheriff's Office, the Hardin County Prosecutor's Office, and the FBI.
