KENTON, Ohio (WLIO) — A Hardin County man was sentenced to 19 years to life in prison for killing his father.
Dustin Bolen pleaded guilty to murder, gross abuse of a corpse, and tampering with evidence in the death of his father, Michael Bolen, who went missing in March 2024.
The Hardin County sheriff said Dustin Bolen had been a main suspect since the beginning, and a Hardin County grand jury indicted him in November for the crime.
A month later, Bolen confessed to family members that he killed his father and buried him in the crawl space of Michael Bolen's home.
Law enforcement returned to the home and discovered that a section of the floor had been cut to access the crawl space, where Michael Bolen’s body was found.
