The Lima Area Habitat for Humanity kicked off a new fundraiser on Thursday. The first "Luxury Lockup – Jail and Bail" fundraiser was held at Milano Cafe.
The Allen County Board of Developmental Disabilities is recognizing hard work from their professionals. The board held a small luncheon today at Milanos Cafe, where they thanked 13 different 'direct support professionals' or DSPs. These professionals provide care directly to their clients with disabilities throughout the day and night in their homes, through day programs, and in the community. The Allen County Board of Developmental Disabilities celebrates their hard work every year, knowing the amount of time and dedication they devote to their clients.
After COVID-19 hospitalizations stayed under 3,500 for over a week straight, DeWine decided that it was time to loosen the curfew on the state and extend it an hour. Instead of restaurants and businesses having to close their doors and make sure customers are out by 10 P.M., they now have until 11 P.M. to do it. While the new curfew does offer some wiggle room for closing at night, some restaurants are unsure if they want to make the move and extend their official hours of operation.

A collaboration between people in Lima is supporting small business and those battling the coronavirus. The non-profit group "Warrior Mode" has made modifications to their T-shirt design. Profits from the shirts go to supporting hospital staff on the front lines of the pandemic. The non-profit has donated their money to Milano Cafe to purchase meals for hospital staff. The founder of Warrior Mode created it for those battling cancer. He saw people battling COVID-19 experience these similar feelings.
