The Allen County Board of Developmental Disabilities recognized community partners at its annual luncheon while highlighting their impact and preparing for new leadership.
The event served as a reminder of the vital role community partnerships play in fostering inclusion and opportunity for individuals with developmental disabilities.
March 1 is the start of Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month! We will be celebrating all month long. Our theme this year is "Step by Step: From Vision to Reality," which is a continuation of 2024's theme that focused on the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Grant, accessibility and inclusion.
Together they can face any challenges in helping those with developmental disabilities. It was a day of thank you's as the Allen County Board of Developmental Disabilities recognized all those who partner with them in serving their clients. This years theme, "It's Better Together". The partnerships help with housing, education, employment, home health, and more to assist individuals in their daily lives.
The Allen County Board of Developmental Disabilities had the chance to honor all of the community agencies and partners they've worked with over this past year.
