The Allen County Engineer's Office announcing that Breese Road, between McClain Road and State Route 65, will be closed on Monday, September 9, 2024, from 7:30 a.m. through 1:00 p.m. for paving. There will be no access during closure.

The Allen County Engineer's Office is announcing that road crews will be paving Roush Road, between State Route 81 and Reservoir Road, on Friday, August 30, 2024, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Traffic will be maintained, but delays are expected.

BATH TOWNSHIP, OH (WLIO) - Allen County Engineer is announcing that Sugar Street, between Bluelick and Bible roads, will be closed on Thursday, May 30, 2024, weather permitting, from 6:30 a.m. through 8:00 p.m. for paving. There will be no access during the closure.

Allen County engineers held their final road meeting today with all township trustees and county commissioners to finalize the 2024 plan. The total cost for all of the road projects came out to just over $2.2 million. That includes a little more than 9 miles of paving and 57 miles of chip sealing, but because of inflation, those numbers are 30% less than last year.

We’re hoping to do that over the next couple weeks and during that time we will have additional traffic impacts to get that in. After that’s in traffic should have a much easier time navigating through the roundabout.”

It was announced Tuesday that there will be a 34% increase in the amount of paving that will be done across the county. Nearly 20 miles of roadway will be paved with additional 53 miles to be sealed. It has a price tag of 2.7 million dollars generated from motor vehicle gas tax, motor vehicle license plate fees, and the county’s permissive license plate tax. An additional 11 miles of roadway will be paved this spring in a contracted paving project.
