“Music has always been a good part of my life. It helped keep me off the streets. It kept my brain safe,” Henderson said. “I feel like music can help kids—let them release, let them create. Music is a safe space.”

Berlin Carroll speaking about the role the association plays in making sure courts throughout Ohio ensure independent judiciary through professional development and high-quality education. Ohio is one of a few states that offers an in-state judicial college through the Ohio Supreme Court for court managers. Areas covered are leadership, court performance, accountability, and budgeting. Carroll says it's important that people understand the importance of an independent judiciary.
Edward Eghan is the founder executive director of the Oheneba Soccer Academy and adds, “So this fundraiser will allow us to provide over 210 scholarships for kids in this city. Especially the underserved community. So, the purpose of this gala is to raise funds for all our yearly activities.”
