They have influenced more than 600 kids in last 5 years with the fundamentals of soccer but also provide mentorship.
The Oheneba Soccer Academy works with children ages 4 to 12 years of age and their summer camp is scheduled to start July 12th. Their goal is to teach age-appropriate skills to help your child excel in the sport. They hope to provide the camp to any child that would like to attend and to do this they are holding a Gala fundraiser to provide scholarships to the camp.
Edward Eghan is the founder executive director of the Oheneba Soccer Academy and adds, “So this fundraiser will allow us to provide over 210 scholarships for kids in this city. Especially the underserved community. So, the purpose of this gala is to raise funds for all our yearly activities.”
The Gala will be held Thursday, June 16th at the Veterans Memorial Civic Center. Tickets are $60 with a table of eight for $400. It is formal attire. They are also looking for corporate or organizational sponsorships.
