BLUFFTON (WLIO) — Miller City’s late comeback bid came up short in a 44-39 loss to Stryker in a Division VII regional semifinal at the Sommer Center.
Anna Lammers knocked down a three late in the first half to keep the Wildcats within two at the break. Elizabeth “Libby” Erford gave Miller City the lead early in the third, and freshman Sophia Ruck sparked a fourth-quarter push with an and-one. Kiera Ruhe and Vivian Otto helped trim the deficit to one during a full-court press sequence.
Stryker converted 19 of 21 free throws to seal the win. Miller City closes its season at 23-3.
