WAPAKONETA, Ohio (WLIO) -Â The Auglaize County Fair continued its week of celebrations by hosting extra activities for children as a part of "Kids' Day."
The fair hosted various events under the gospel tent for kids and families to enjoy, including face-painting, games and a fog-bubble machine.
Free yogurt and T-shirts were also provided for kids, and those who attended all the stations won a free wristband for ride access.
Fair board members said the event is part of its efforts to reach out to younger audiences and give them a fun way to enjoy their summer.
"It's just a great place for the kids to get hands-on and learn things, but also to just be a kid and enjoy the activities that the fair provides," said fair board member Amy Felver.
"It's fun for the adults as well to have a little break and let their kids have some fun."
Children at the tent had fun playing at the many activities, and said their favorite part of the fair has been riding rides with their family.
"You get to spend time with family, do all this stuff with other people, have fun making new friends and have fun together," said Dainne Fetter, another fair attendant.
"You can ride on the rides. You just have to buy a wristband and then you can go on the rides for free," said fair attendant Riley Alvers, when asked what his favorite part of the fair was.
Kids' Day wraps up in the evening with the Youth Worship Night hosted by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, with former Ohio State basketball player Aaron Craft speaking at the service.
