Mercy Health St. Rita's announces continued investment in regional patient care

LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center is continuing to expand its services to meet the growing health care needs of the region through new programs and facility improvements.

Speaking to the Lima Rotary Club, Mercy Health St. Rita's Chief Clinical Officer Matt Owens highlighted several initiatives the medical center has introduced for the community, including the new Women's Health Center, Mercy Tots and the adolescent behavioral health unit that is expected to open on the hospital campus. Owens also discussed ongoing projects designed to enhance patient care.

"We're renovating our OB unit to give a better experience and a better environment to our expectant mothers. It's just topics like that have made a big influence to us and we know are going to make a big influence in the community," Owens said.

In addition to expanding women's and behavioral health services, Owens said the hospital is also placing a greater emphasis on improving services for men as part of its continued commitment to meeting the health care needs of the region.
