Dozens of properties changed hands Thursday as the Allen County Auditor’s Office held its foreclosure auction, drawing a packed room of bidders from across the county.
The National Association of Realtors (NAR) was originally founded as the National Association of Real Estate Exchanges in May 1908. The organization aimed to foster professionalism in the industry at a time when it was not uncommon for some individuals to undermine property sales.
According to the records of the Allen County Recorders Office, the purchase was made last week and the property was bought for $4.5 million.

The Allen County Land Bank is back at it, bringing down foreclosed properties to promote redevelopment. The warehouse has been an eyesore along State Route 309, which is Kiracofe Avenue within the village of Elida. The building was built in 1939 and was most recently owned by Douglas P. Fay and housed a construction company. The Allen County auditor says it took months to sort out all the transfers of the property to get the foreclosure complete and get to this day of demolition.
Dozens of property owners are coming out to dispute their new tentative valuation amount with the Allen County Auditor's Office. Informal hearings with the auditor's office started today and continue on Wednesday. Every three years, the state requires that property values be re-evaluated. The amount is determined by what properties around you are going for on the open market. You do have the chance to dispute your new valuation, and you need to bring documentation to back up your case.
