LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Buying your own home is the American dream, and the City of Lima is working to make that dream come true for residents.
The NACA workshop is Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Philippian Missionary Baptist Church. The Homebuyer Workshop is Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Lima Public Library.
The city is hosting a couple of upcoming workshops. One with NACA, the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America, and another with the city regarding their first home loan down payment assistance program. City officials say it's important that people understand what assistance is available to them.
"We have lenders who are going to be out there to talk about their products and answer those questions about what that process looks like. We're also going to have insurance agencies there to talk about how to insure those investments that you're planning to do," said Carmillia Zion, director of Housing and Neighborhoods.
The Homebuyer Workshop is Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Lima Public Library, located at 650 W Market Street, Lima, OH 45801.
