Local law enforcement agencies came together Wednesday to honor the service and sacrifice of officers across Allen County.
The city of Lima honored the memory of Ava Armstead by planting a sycamore tree at Faurot Park during its Arbor Day observance. Family, friends and community members gathered to celebrate her life and lasting impact.

A Domestic Violence Awareness kick off event was held at the Lima Public Library on Thursday. Crossroads Crisis Center, which is the only domestic violence agency in Allen County, promoted the event. County officials were also in attendance for the kick off.
