A Lima man was arrested after a police chase through Allen and Auglaize counties early Wednesday morning.
Nathaniel Nix, 36, has been charged with felonious assault, assault on a peace officer, escape, fleeing and eluding, vandalism, and resisting arrest following an incident on Feb. 4th.
A McComb man was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend at a Findlay hotel early Wednesday morning. 31-year-old Jamie Hoverman is facing six charges, including kidnapping, strangulation, and resisting arrest. Findlay police were called out to the TownePlace Suites just after 3:30 a.m. Wednesday morning for reports of a woman getting strangled by her boyfriend in their room. When they arrived, Hoverman was gone, and the woman stated to the police that Hoverman was drunk and strangled her to the point of unconsciousness several times throughout the evening.
Lima Police Chief Angel Cortes tells Your News Now, that he will decide whether to place Officer Dunlap on paid administrative leave and initiate an investigation after the officer's initial hearing and he reviews the video of the incident and written reports. The chief expects that decision Wednesday. Dunlap was released from jail after Tuesday's hearing.
A man has been detained following an incident in Lima Friday morning.
Around 1:40 a.m. Wednesday morning, the Lima Police Department was called out to the 300 block of Collett Street for the reports of a burglary. 19-year-old Isahia Dyous was arrested at a different location and charged with suspicion of burglary and resisting arrest. According to the Lima Police Department, earlier in the evening, Dyous and 19-year-old Moesha Spence were having a dispute over a cell phone.
