LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Nathaniel Nix, 36, has been charged with felonious assault, assault on a peace officer, escape, fleeing and eluding, vandalism, and resisting arrest following an incident on Feb. 4th.
The charges stem from Nix breaking out a courtroom window and fleeing after a judge revoked his bond on drug and tampering with evidence charges. He ran to his SUV, and while driving away, he briefly dragged a deputy attempting to stop him. The deputy sustained minor injuries.
The suspect was later spotted in Lima, sparking a chase through the city and north on I-75. The pursuit ended in Wood County after law enforcement remotely disabled Nix’s vehicle using OnStar before arresting him.
Nix is scheduled for a hearing on March 4th.
