Cenovus Energy officials report the refinery's emergency responders put out a fire that was on site. All workers are accounted for and there were no injuries from the fire. Cenovus says the first priority is the safety of its people, the community, and emergency responders.
First responders were called out to the intersection of County Roads 75 and 30 just before 6 p.m. There they found a car off the road fully engulfed in flames and were unable reach the people inside because of the blaze. The identities of the two people will not be released until they are positively identified. The crash is being investigated by the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Hardin County Sheriff's Deputies.
