A local teen center is in need of supplies to continue an important activity for the youth they serve.
A good pair of socks can go a long way to helping local teens this winter. The Safy Youth Drop-in Center is collecting new pairs of socks so they can be passed out to local teens. During the cold winter months, they saw that a lot of teens are not always wearing good warm socks. So last year, they started their socks drive as a small way to help local teens.
The SAFY Youth Drop-in Center, Activate Allen County, and the West Ohio Food Bank teamed up for a giveaway event. Activate Allen County gave away items like kites, plastic bats, and balls. The SAFY Youth Drop-in center gave out hygiene packets and food. The West Ohio Food Bank had boxes of food to give away. This is the second time they teamed up for a giveaway event and they are glad they can help families and teens in the area.
The SAFY Youth Drop-In Center wants you to consider donating warm clothing this winter. They are accepting new or like-new items to pass along to the teens coming into the center.
Lima’s SAFY Youth Drop-in Center gave away 100 bags of free hygiene products for area teens on Saturday.
