Shawnee Township trustees have suspended Fire Chief Austin Miller without pay following the completion of an independent investigation, though officials declined to release details about the findings.
A special committee of the Ohio Supreme Court has released a preliminary decision that Wapakoneta Mayor Thomas Stinebaugh be suspended from his post effective immediately as legal proceedings continue. The announcement was passed on August 30th, 2021. On Monday, Wapakoneta City Council announced the committee's decision and the suspension of Stinebaugh. City Council President Steve Henderson will now be acting mayor in his place.
Bradley Pepple was indicted by the Allen County Grand Jury for failing to stop after an accident, driving under suspension, and three other misdemeanors. He was not indicted on any manslaughter charges. OSHP believes Pepple hit and killed 18-year old Chance Edwards with his pick-up truck on Aug. 28. A witness says they saw Edwards and a man arguing on North Dixie Highway. She walked off into the road and that’s when she was hit. Pepple turned himself into the police two weeks later.
A document obtained by Your Hometown Stations from the Ohio State Chiropractic Board shows that Hayes received a suspension on his license in Mid-Late February. According to the document, Hayes has received a one-year suspension with six months stayed for multiple violation counts, which include providing acupuncture without a license and failing to report arrests. Hayes has also received a $5,000 fine. The document further elaborates that Hayes performed dry needling on two patients without the education, training, and experience to perform the service, and without a valid certificate to practice acupuncture issued by the board.
The decision came down from Ohio State University after an investigation into what school officials knew about alleged abuse by an assistant coach.
