ST. MARYS, OH (WLIO) - People in St. Marys came out to work on getting healthy, and maybe learn something along the way.
The Board of Park Commissioners with the Heritage Trails Park District were busy Tuesday Evening inside the Wapakoneta Chamber of Commerce with budgetary and future event planning. Currently, hundreds of people are involved in the district's 2023 Cabin Fever Hike Series, which is part of the Grand Lake Health System Road to Fitness Program, but the district is already looking further ahead.
On Saturday Heritage Trails Park District kicked off its first cabin fever series of the decade. Dozens of people signed up the Lockkeeper's Winter Canal Hike this afternoon.
Hikers along with their friends and pets hiked the 2 plus miles along the Miami and Erie Canal. Throughout the hike people got the chance to sight see and look at the surrounding trees and body of water.
