For those who are cooking at home for the family this Thanksgiving, health officials have some suggestions to keep everyone happy and healthy. They say that cooking the turkey to the proper temperature is key.
They are hoping to feed more than 3,000 people on Thursday at the Lima Thanksgiving Dinner. The turkey is sliced, the dressing is prepped and the potatoes are bagged all in preparation for Thursday's Thanksgiving dinner.
Lima City Councilman Derry Glenn provided people with warm Thanksgiving meals for the 17th year. Lima Towers residents and others who attended were served a free Thanksgiving dinner. They also held a raffle to give people the chance to win prizes. Glenn says the smiles he sees is what makes this event so good, and everyone involved is always eager for this time of year to come again.
