We all love our turkey and stuffing at Thanksgiving, but without budgeting things can get a little pricey.

"I probably spend, easily over $150," shopper, Beverly Collins.

"This is only the second time I've done thanksgiving so just winging it," shopper, Christa Sifred said.

Luckily,  as you head out to buy all the turkey day essentials, you might find some comfort knowing the cost of Thanksgiving dinner this year is down.

"For the the first time since 2014, we see the cost of a Thanksgiving dinner for 10 below $50, and that's below $5 per person," Dr. John Newton with the American Farm Bureau Federation.

The American Farm Bureau Federation's annual price survey shows the average cost for this years feast for 10 is $49.87 - a 24 cent decrease from last year.

"The price of this year's Thanksgiving dinner is actually lower than it was 31 years ago when we first started this survey," Dr. Nelson said.
