UPDATE: April 8, 2026:

LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - Lima police releasing more information on a domestic violence report they responded to Tuesday afternoon.

Detective Steve Stechshulte tells Your News Now that LPD officers responded to the 500 block of West Grand Avenue after a woman called 911. Upon arrival the woman was outside the home and told authorities her 1-year-old was still in the house and was unsure where the suspect was.

Police obtained a search warrant as they were made aware that there were weapons in the home and acted with precaution. They made entry to find the suspect, Raquan White, had fled and was not found in the house. The child was in the home unharmed. White could face misdemeanor charges if a complaint is filed.


LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - There was a large police presence on the northwest side of the city Tuesday afternoon.  

Law enforcements were seen in the 600 block of West Grand Avenue; officers had a home surrounded because of an alleged standoff. It is currently unknown what led up to the standoff, but our reporters saw swat officers enter the home just before 3 PM.  

The Lima Police Department says they will be releasing more information later about the incident and any suspects involved.
