The long-awaited construction of one of Lima Rotary Club's biggest projects is underway. The Rotary's path to building an amphitheater in downtown Lima begins today with the demolition of blighted buildings in the area. The property is between Spring Street and Elm Street, bounded by Union Street and Main Street. Phase one's demolition of the buildings and clearing them out will take a week or two and grass will be planted by the end of the month. This will provide a multi-use green space for the community.
