The Lima Music Academy is celebrating its fourth year of providing music education to the community. On Tuesday evening, the academy hosted a meet-and-greet community event where families enjoyed dinner together in honor of the milestone.
Through the All-City Orchestra Concert, tonight's program combined the West, Liberty Arts and South Science eighth grade orchestras with the Lima Senior High School Orchestra as one unit.
The Lima Symphony Orchestra continues to spark an interest in music through its Symphony Storytime series.

The Lima Symphony hosts Symphony Storytime programs in Allen and surrounding counties extending the Symphony’s educational reach and impact. Children and their families are invited to these free, interactive programs, thanks to our generous sponsors.
Their final program of the year was at the historic Brumback Library in Van Wert Tuesday morning. The Symphony Storytime takes a group of musicians around to libraries in Allen County and the surrounding area to combine the love of reading and music into a program focused on a specific topic. In the final program of the year, the students were learning about opposites.
The Veterans Memorial Civic Center is hosting Black Violin on October 21st, and the Lima Area Youth Orchestra has been invited to play on stage with them.
