The West Ohio Food Bank will hold its annual resource fair and largest food distribution event of the year on June 4 at the Allen County Fairgrounds. The event will connect families with local services and provide food assistance while organizers continue seeking volunteers and sponsors.
Hundreds of families lined up Monday for the only December food distribution offered by the West Ohio Food Bank, as demand for assistance continues to climb during the holiday season.
According to a Facebook post, the committee voted this week to cancel the fall festival due to a lack of members to help organize the event. There is a possibility the festival could return in the future if enough volunteers are recruited.
