NEW BREMEN, Ohio (WLIO) — There will be no Pumpkinfest in New Bremen this year. According to a Facebook post, the committee voted this week to cancel the fall festival due to a lack of members to help organize the event. There is a possibility the festival could return in the future if enough volunteers are recruited.
Last year marked Pumpkinfest’s 21st year, featuring live music and numerous activities. The money raised helped support various organizations around the New Bremen community. The festival gained notoriety in 2005 when it set the world record for the largest pumpkin pie.
