LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — The Mercy Health St. Rita's Thrift Shop is celebrating its loyal customers this week with special discounts, raffle prizes and community events during its annual customer appreciation sale.
The thrift shop has long been a destination for shoppers looking for bargains on everything from seasonal decorations to clothing while supporting local charitable causes.
Throughout the week, customers can take advantage of special discounts and enter to win several raffle baskets. Store volunteers say the appreciation event is their way of thanking shoppers for their continued support of the thrift shop's mission.
"We are a funding source for St. Rita's Hospital. We also support 26 different charities in the community, so all the funds stay here local," said Cara Gramaglia, volunteer coordinator and thrift store manager.
The customer appreciation sale continues through Friday. A youth-run lemonade stand will be open Wednesday and Friday, and shoppers who make a purchase on Thursday will receive a free hot dog, chips and a drink.
The thrift shop's proceeds benefit Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center and dozens of local nonprofit organizations, allowing customers' purchases to directly support the community.
