May 15, 2024, Press Release from Reveille LTD: Wapakoneta, Ohio – May 2024 – Wapakoneta City officials, together with the Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee, have begun the process of developing a Comprehensive Community Plan. Wapakoneta’s last comprehensive plan was completed in 2008 and it was deemed necessary by community officials to develop a comprehensive plan to help plan and coordinate the many great things currently happening in the community.

Wapakoneta, OH (WLIO) - Various awards were given to individuals and businesses that showed their excellence this year in Wapakoneta.
With Friday being the first Friday of July, the Wapakoneta Area Chamber of Commerce hosted their First Friday gathering in Downtown Wapak. On Friday from 5 PM to 9 PM, there was live music performed by the Blue Collar Band, extended business hours for shops and restaurants, art exhibits, food trucks, and activities for kids.
The Downtown Wapakoneta Partnership received their first matching grant that will be used to improve the buildings. The Wapakoneta Area Community Foundation matched a total of $10,000 that the Partnership raised for their Façade Improvement Funds.
