LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Heir Force Community School students got an interactive introduction to engineering on Thursday.
Kids may dream about becoming the next doctor, astronaut, or even a meteorologist; however, for those dreams to become a reality, there is one important ingredient for success: real life inspiration. That was the case Friday afternoon at Heir Force Community School in Lima. The students participated in a hands-on STEM workshop with engineers from Proctor and Gamble.
Growing up isn't always as easy as it looks, and the Real Money Real World program offered through OSU Extension is helping area students avoid that rude awakening by teaching them how to budget money and finances. As part of the program, every student is assigned a career and a family situation. From there, students take their monthly salary after taxes to pay their bills.
