Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Central Ohio honored the mentors who make its work possible during an appreciation event Thursday night.
The Black Swamp Area Council’s 26th Annual Scouting Golf Classic was a resounding success, raising over $90,000 to support local Scouting programs across Northwest and West Central Ohio.
Months of hard work by 4-H members comes to life at the Auglaize County Fair.
Local youth hoopers sharpening their skills thanks to the Lima Family YMCA.
“We are seeing that 51% of our middle school girls are reporting that they've been cyberbullied,” said Tiffany Hallman, Chief Marketing and Development Officer for the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio. “We're seeing that a lot of our girls are feeling helpless, unsure, not comfortable in STEM, and we see Girl Scouting as an answer to these statistics and to really change some of these outcomes.”
Fair week is always busy, but for teens on the Junior Fair Board, it means early mornings, late nights and a lot of hard work. Still, they say it’s worth the effort.
The Girl Scouts of Western Ohio is looking for volunteers to support its mission.
