Local students are ending a yearlong mentorship program with strong relationships built through weekly meetings and shared activities. Organizers say the bonds formed through Big Brothers Big Sisters will have a lasting impact on both the mentors and younger students.

“We are seeing that 51% of our middle school girls are reporting that they've been cyberbullied,” said Tiffany Hallman, Chief Marketing and Development Officer for the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio. “We're seeing that a lot of our girls are feeling helpless, unsure, not comfortable in STEM, and we see Girl Scouting as an answer to these statistics and to really change some of these outcomes.”
Fair week is always busy, but for teens on the Junior Fair Board, it means early mornings, late nights and a lot of hard work. Still, they say it’s worth the effort.
