Countdown to Kickoff: Anna retools for another deep postseason run

ANNA, Ohio (WLIO) — The Anna Rockets are preparing for lift-off once again.
After finishing 10-4 in 2024, Anna fell just short in the regional title game for the second straight season.
The 2025 schedule brings two new early-season opponents: Spencerville in Week 1 and Fort Loramie in Week 2.
And in Week 4, the Rockets get a highly anticipated rematch with defending Division VI state champion Coldwater — the team responsible for two of Anna’s four losses last fall.
Head coach Nick Marino, now in his 11th year, will have to replace three All-Ohio standouts in Noah Aufderhaar, Zach Osborn and Alex Shappie.
Sophomore quarterback Logan Ziegenbusch takes over under center, with senior wide receiver Zeb Pleiman as a key target.
It’s a younger group this time around, but Marino says August will be all about growth and development to prepare for another deep postseason push.
