MINSTER, Ohio (WLIO) — The Wildcats bounced back in Midwest Athletic Conference play Friday night, defeating New Bremen 27–16 at Memorial Field.

Minster clung to a slim lead early, thanks to a defensive stop from Colby Niemeyer, who recorded a sack late in the first quarter. But the Cardinals struck back when Caleb Keller came up with an interception, though the turnover didn’t result in points.

Gavin Dicke later tried to spark New Bremen’s offense with a deep pass, but Andrew Ketner broke up the play with a key defensive strip to deny a touchdown. The Cardinals finally found the end zone when Brady Hess powered across the goal line from one yard out, giving New Bremen a 6-point advantage.

The momentum didn’t last. Minster’s offense found its rhythm in the second half, and the Wildcats pulled away to secure the 27–16 victory.
