WAYNESFIELD — Chris Sommers has stepped down as head football coach at Waynesfield–Goshen after two seasons leading the Tigers. Sommers posted a 12–9 record during his tenure, which included a playoff appearance in 2024.
Waynesfield–Goshen finished 7–4 in that 2024 campaign and followed it with a 5–5 season this fall.
Before arriving at Waynesfield–Goshen, Sommers served as head coach at Spencerville and Delphos Jefferson, where he won six Northwest Conference championships and earned NWC Coach of the Year honors five times.
The Tigers will now begin the search for their next head coach.
