Meteorologist Stephen Puglisi's Wednesday AM Forecast 7/1/26
The intense heat wave that began yesterday will reach its' peak today, and it will do so with real temperatures in the mid to upper 90s with heat index values in the 105–110-degree range. That is dangerously hot, so make sure you stay hydrated, have access to air conditioning, and take care of those that may not have access to those things! The good news is that, after another scorcher for Thursday, temperatures should begin a very slow drop back into the more reasonable range by next week, but lots of storms are likely over the next week as well.
