ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - It was Senior Day at the Allen County Fair, and hundreds of people came out to take part. If you were 60 years of age or older, you got in free until 6 p.m. Tuesday evening. Many enjoyed the fair food visiting on the midway. There were two golden age parties for those in attendance, with prizes for the oldest woman and the oldest man, and the couple married the longest.

"I've always went to a lot of fairs. My dad liked to go to the fair too. So, he always had; he even participated in it too," said Mozelle Saylor, who is 107 and has been the oldest visitor for 3 years running.

"Well, I've got about four or five different times I've been the oldest man here," commented Howard Lackey, who is 98 years old.

The seniors also enjoyed music and fellowship in the gospel tent.

"We've been married for 70 years and 10 months, and the secret is, on the first night of our marriage, we kneeled down at our bed and had prayer and asked the Lord's blessing on our marriage. And we've done it every night since then. But we've changed a little bit because we can't kneel done now; we've got to get in bed because we can't get up if we kneel down," commented Jim and Dorothy Morgan, who will be married for 71 years in September.
