Day two of a jury trial for an Allen County man facing human trafficking resumed in Common Pleas Court.
Grant Rose is facing a total of 15 charges, which include promoting prostitution, engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, and 13 counts of trafficking a person.
The defendant in his previous court appearances stating that his co-defendant, Susan Walendzik, was the one responsible for prostitution a young girl.
Walendzik herself appeared on the witness stand, where she testified to Rose’s involvement in the case.
"Grant Rose has been involved in sex, prostitution trafficking and cocaine before me," stated Walendzik. "He knew what was going on."
Lima Police Detectives were then brought to the stand to testify on how they learned of the alleged crime, and to how they identified both Rose and Walendzik.
Then before proceedings closed on the second day, against his lawyers advice, Rose requested to go to the witness stand, where he stated that he was not involved in prostituting a young girl, and that he wouldn't do that to anyone's children.
"Never. I wouldn't do that to any of my children," said Rose. "Or anybody else's children.... I can't even get my own children to listen to me. How would I get someone else's children to listen to me."
