An Allen County woman charged with human trafficking pleads guilty.
43-year-old Susan Walendzik pleaded guilty to two counts of trafficking a person. As part of the plea deal, 13 other charges including promoting prostitution were dropped. Walendzik was arrested in a prostitution sting operation by the Lima Police Department in December of 2020.
She and her co-defendant Grant Rose allegedly used a website to set up meetings between a young girl and johns. The meetings happened between July of 2018 until their arrests in 2020. The girl was around 13-years-old when the crimes began. Lima detectives say that Walendzick arranged the meeting to get money or drugs in exchange for the sex acts with the young girl, because of a drug habit. As part of the plea deal, the prosecution will recommend a sentence of 18 years in prison. No sentencing date has been set.
